BLOCK PRINT TAPESTRY ~ Moroccan style block printed Indian tapestry. Made of 100% quality power-loom cotton offering a strong, tight, durable weave. Measures approximately 108 x 88 inches. Colors are deep indigo blue and olive grey on a beige background. They can be machine washed separately on cool/gentle and tumble dried. The art of hand block printing dates back thousands of years and is the oldest and slowest form of textile printing known to man. The design is created by dipping hand carved wooden blocks into the dye and then pressing the blocks by hand onto the fabric in a repeated fashion until the entire cloth has been covered.
